Play Session Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions are agreed by customers upon booking a play session:

The Little Play Lounge is suitable for children from 0 to 3.5 years old. To attend a play session with us, bookings must be made in advance via our website. Due to capacities, we cannot allow people to turn up. Full payment is taken at the time of booking a play session.

Once your session is booked, we are unable to swap or refund if for any reason you cannot attend.

Tickets are priced per person, everyone attending will need a ticket to enter. Older children may enter but we ask they leave the equipment to younger children. Bookings can be made for a group up to 6 people. For larger groups, please contact us.

Each booking must include at least one adult aged over 18 years old. Parents / carers are always responsible for their children's welfare and safety as The Little Play Lounge is not a childcare facility. Our sessions are 1.5 hours long. You may arrive after the session start time however you will still need to leave the play area once the session finishes to allow our staff to clean and reset for the next session or close for the day.

The Little Play Lounge has a café which serves a selection of cold and hot drinks along with a lunch menu. We cater for weaning babies up to toddlers including allergies. It is not an option to bring in your own food / snacks other than baby milk or formula.

You are welcome to stay after your session ends or arrive earlier to join us for food and drinks. Please note the venue opens from 10am and closes at 3pm. Tables cannot be reserved, and we ask that you do not use our tables for nappy changes or storing your belongings.

Furniture in our cafe area must not been moved to ensure everyone’s safety. Fire Exits must be always kept accessible.

We have a designated area for you to store your bags and shoes on arrival. The play area is a shoe free zone to keep it as clean as possible, please ensure you are wearing socks. You may bring indoor shoes or slippers. Due to our limited space inside the venue, we have no space to store pushchairs or prams, please leave them in your car. If you do bring one to the door, it will be left on our patio at your own risk.

If you wish to take photos, please ensure you are mindful, and any photos do not contain other children.

Between each session our toys and equipment are cleaned. If your child has put a toy in their mouth, please place in our dribble box, these get a thorough cleaning before being placed back in our play area. Toys and equipment are often switched to allow for a variety of play. All cleaning products used conforms with the relevant British & European Standards. EN 14476, EN 1276, EN 127.

The Little Play Lounge accepts no liability for any loss or damage to personal property including vehicles parked in our car park whilst visiting.

We are a non-smoking venue, and this includes the use of e-cigarettes both inside and in our garden area.

Birthday Party Terms & Conditions

These terms & conditions form the standard contract for party bookings at The Little Play Lounge. Please read them carefully. Once a booking is confirmed and payment received, a binding agreement is made between the person named on the booking form and The Little Play Lounge. This contract is governed by English law. “The Little Play Lounge” is a trading name of Digitgain LTD (Company No. 02251657). In this agreement, “we”, “our”, and “us” refer to The Little Play Lounge; “you” and “your” refer to the client making the party booking.

1. Party Package

Our party package includes:

• 1 hour play session

• 1 hour party lunch or afternoon tea in our Courtyard Lodge

• Children’s tables and chairs (up to 20 children.)

• Access to The Little Café

• Structured party timeline

• Optional party food packages

• Up to 40 people, including babies and children

​

Please Note:

• The package price includes VAT at the current rate.

• Older children may attend, but the play equipment and play area is only suitable for children aged 0–3.5 years.

• All guests must vacate the venue promptly at the end of the party.

• Outside food is not permitted, except for a birthday cake or cupcakes.

• All decorations must be removed at the end of your event.

2. Pricing

If there are changes to tax rates beyond our control (e.g. VAT increases), we reserve the right to adjust our prices accordingly.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Booking

A completed booking form must be submitted within 5 working days of agreement, or the date will be released.

​

3.2 Invoicing

Upon receiving your completed booking form, we will issue an invoice for 50% of the total package cost, payable within 5 working days to secure your booking. Your booking is not confirmed until both the form is submitted and the deposit paid. Submitting the booking form indicates agreement with these Terms & Conditions. The remaining 50% is due 4 weeks before your event date. Party food packages must be confirmed at least 3 weeks prior, and payment for these will be required in full at the time of booking.
 

4. Cancellations

4.1 Client Cancellations

All cancellations must be made in writing.

Payments are non-refundable.

If the party child or an immediate family member is unwell on the day, we will offer either: A 25% partial refund, or a list of new available dates to reschedule.

4.2 Cancellations by The Little Play Lounge

We reserve the right to cancel your event if:

• Force Majeure or venue issues arise, such as unforeseen closures. In such cases, we will offer either a full refund of any payments made or the option to rebook for a different

date.

• We determine, at our reasonable discretion, that the booking may negatively impact the reputation of The Little Play Lounge. In this instance, we will treat the situation as a client

cancellation.

5. The Little Play Lounge Rules

During your event, please be aware of the following:

• We are not a childcare provider.

• You and your guests are responsible for supervising all children.

• Children must not be left unattended.

• Food and drink must be purchased onsite and is not permitted in the play area.

• Shoes must be taken off before accessing the play area.

• Socks must be worn in the play area.

6. Liability & Insurance

We do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal items. We are not liable for injury or accidents unless they are a direct result of staff negligence or

structural failure of our facilities. Our venue carries public liability insurance up to £5 million.

​

7. Damage & Loss

You are responsible for any damage, loss, or excessive mess caused by you or your guests to the venue, furnishings, or equipment.

​

8. Guest Conduct

All guests must follow reasonable instructions from our staff during the event. Children under 18 must be always supervised by an adequate number of adults. The Little Play Lounge is set within a private estate guests must remain on site during the event.

9. Complaints

If you have any concerns during your event, please speak to a senior member of staff immediately so we can try to resolve the issue. If your issue is unresolved, please submit your

complaint in writing within 28 days of the event.

​

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Once a booking form is completed, the version of the Terms current at the time will apply, unless otherwise agreed.
